Get to know our new CEO Erik Van Der Weerd
He is a chemical engineer, has worked as a responsible for new production and design in international companies for 10 years. After this he worked for 25 years in his family company Wevotex as managing director. Wevotex is delivering home textiles to hotels and hospitals. Because of the high volumes of cotton in their product offerings, He came in contact with SaXcell which is the ultimate recycling solution to solve the waste problem of end-of-life textiles. The SaXcell concept fascinated him from the very beginning and in 2019.He became more involved as Wevotex became one of the new shareholders and he was offered a position in the SaXcell board.
